Tuesday9:30a - 1:00p(2 to 3 1/2-year-olds)

Toddler Cohort

Enrollment is open for our 2024-2025 Toddler Cohort! King Street offers a weekly class for parents or caregivers and children 12-24 months old (as of September 1st, 2024), on Tuesdays 9:30 am-11:00 am. The class begins September 2024.

Attend preschool classes with your toddler and enjoy developmentally appropriate play, music, and movement for children. This gentle introduction to co-op provides learning through play, caregiver education and community building opportunities. When your child turns two, they can automatically transfer to the Preschool Cohort, who meet from 9:30 am-1:00 pm, and add additional days as space allows.

Tuition

King Street has a sliding scale tuition model. Scholarships are also available. Our goal is to make King Street a welcoming and accessible space for all families. Enrolled families self-select their tuition rate based on their family income. We do not ask families to provide financial information. To learn more, please see our sliding scale tuition calculator.

Full Preschool Days

Families can enroll for "full preschool days." These are days that have no classroom co-op responsibility and do not count towards your in-class working ratios. Enrolling for a "full preschool day" costs an additional $145 per month on top of the regular co-op tuition fee. If you cannot work in the classroom on a certain day of the week, choose this option to ensure you are not scheduled for that day.

Plus One Benefit

Inline with our family friendly philosophy, caregivers are able to bring another child preschool age or below with them on their working shift. To keep our child:adult ratio low, a limited number per day is available so please include this on your application. To calculate the cost of a Plus One, please see our sliding scale tuition calculator.

Potty Training

It is not necessary for your child to be potty trained to enroll at King Street. We fully support the child (and the parent) in the potty training process.

Waitlist

We do not keep a waitlist for the year after the current school year. Instead we have an open enrollment every February with rolling enrollment following until all days are fully filled. A waitlist for the current year may be made if families are still interested after enrollment is complete.

Nondiscriminatory Policy Statement

It is the policy of King Street Cooperative Preschool to strive for and maintain a population that is diverse and representative of its community, and to implement a curriculum that is culturally relevant and inclusive of its membership. KSCP does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, culture, sexual orientation, religion, family structure, nationality, or ethnicity in administration of its educational and admissions policies, and scholarship and school-administered programs.

With parents actively engaged in staffing and managing the school, we foster community, lifelong friendships and serve as a resource for parenting education.

Our school motto is SAFE, STRONG AND FREE!

Our tuition is low, and scholarships are available.

We'd love to have you join us next year!
